On Sunday

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4 v4 (NIV).
We meet every Sunday to worship God and support and encourage each other as we seek to become more like Christ. We have two main services in the morning and evening:

Morning Service

DSC_3842The Morning Service starts at 10am and finishes around 11.30am. In a relaxed and informal atmosphere, this is a lively mixture of  songs, prayers, bible readings and a sermon. We have groups running for children during part of this time.

Discoverers includes all children from ages 3-11 years old.  We follow Scripture Union material designed for this age range and aim to provide a biblically based session, during part of the morning service, with games, crafts and activities to help our children discover the truths of the bible for themselves and to apply these in practical ways. Our aim is to support parents as they share their faith as a family.  We meet in the hall each week, apart from on Outreach Sundays when we join with Explorers in the church

Ngage (youth and young people)

Ngage meet on Sunday mornings during the service.

4th of the Month (Community Sunday)

Every 4th Sunday of the month, we do something a little different. We take this opportunity to share the love of God with those in the wider community.

We begin as usual at 10am with a short time of prayer and worship, then we are free to choose from a wide range of activities from prayer walking, card-making, being part of a service at the Evelyn Sharp care home, cooking and serving a community meal, Explorers…..each time is different. This is a great opportunity to try something new, get to know other people or to put into practise something God is calling you to do.

Youth social…A time for our teenagers to hang out, play music or games, invite their friends and enjoy snacks or breakfast .

 Communion (3rd of the month)

DSC_3463We share communion together as a regular part of our worship and we welcome anyone who loves the Lord to share communion with us. We remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us as the whole family shares bread and non alcoholic wine. We always have communion on the 3rd Sunday of the month in the morning and the 1st Sunday of the month during the evening service. If you have any questions about communion or why we celebrate it, just ask Pete.

1 Corinthians 11:23–26

Evening Service

The Evening Service is at 6.30pm and is usually a smaller, more contemplative service with space for testimony and reflection

We are always open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Why not come and along and see for yourself? Everyone is welcome at either!

We celebrate communion on the first Sunday evening of each month.
